This paradigm shift is expected to generate a huge impact on education, especially in public institutes of higher learning where such media technology is regarded as indispensable to both instructors and students. As the results, the use of social media in education provides students with the ability to get more useful information, to be connected with learning groups and other educational systems that make education convenient. Hence, by applying appropriate technology-driven media in teaching and learning, the relationship between educators and students can be improved. However, this new form of communication can also help parents in getting involved in the learning of their children. One way of enhancing this communication is through the use of social media.

Above all, teaching our kids to be safe, smart and successful online becomes a priority for schools because technology is profoundly changing the way lids are learning. However , the more speed of technology development the more problems will occurred. For instance, in this form of bullying known as “cyberbaiting” and this is a form of bullying. In a “cyberbaiting” incident, students taunt their teachers to the point of an outburst. Then, they capture the teacher’s reaction on video and post it for other to see. Globally, one in five teachers has been a prey of “cyberbaiting”. Aside of being humiliated, some teachers are losing their jobs over the videos because they were unable to keep their calmness. This real problem occurred due to parents who are not teaching their children how to think about and control the use of technology, and this is happened in our real life now!

It is clearly seen that social media and education don’t necessarily go hand in hand. There’s a pro’s and cons for social media as an educational tools for students. Turning social media into an educational tool can be used to further a student’s education and boost it but there’s also a cons to this issues!
